Step 1: First of all Login to your Blogger Dashboard.

Step 2: On Blogger Dashboard, click Settings.  

Step 3: Here you can set the Blogger website according to the setting mentioned below.

Basic

Title

First of all, you will get the title option at the top, here you can keep the title of your website which you want to keep. For example, the name of our website is A2Z Blogging, so we have put A2Z Blogging in the title here. It will depend on you what you want to name your website. 

Description

Just below the title, you will get the option of description, here you have to write any description about your website, like what information your website will provide on it, etc... But the thing to keep in mind is that you have to give this description only in 500 words.

After that, the option of blog language will appear in front of you, there will be different types of language in it, out of which the language in which your site is, you have to select the language. 

Adult content

If you post adult content on your blog website. Whether it is an article or it can be an image, anything, if you are posting something that is adult content, then you are here –
  • Show warning to blog readers
  • Require age confirmation
Enable both these options. And if your blog website is not related to Adult Content, then keep these options disabled.

Google Analytics Property ID

After that you will get the field of Google Analytics Property ID, in that you have to put your Google Analytics Property ID, so that the data of your site can be seen in Google Analytics Dashboard. If you have not yet created an account on Google Analytics, then you can create an account on Google Analytics and copy the property ID from there and put it here.

Favicon

After that, the option of Favicon will appear in front of you, here you have to upload the icon of the site which will appear in Google search, as soon as you click on it, you will be redirected to a new page and there you will have to upload the Favicon. Will get option. You have to click on Choose File and select and upload that Favicon of yours. After that you click on Save.

If you want to show your website in Google search engine, then this setting has to be kept on. If you have kept this setting off, then your site will not appear in Google, then turn on this setting Visible to search engines today. Publishing

Blog address

The URL that appears in the block address field is the blog address of your website that you created when, you created your website with blogspot.com as your website's blog address. If you take your custom domain, then you can set it through custom domain.

Custom domain

If you want to have a custom domain on your website, then you can setup it through this section by taking a custom domain of your website. Display the URL you have registered on your blog. Blogs cannot be hosted on open domains (for example: yourdomain.com). However, they must include a top level domain (www.yourdomain.com) or a subdomain (blog.yourdomain.com). First, you need to register your domain properly.

Redirect domain

With this option, someone can be redirected from an "open" domain to a custom domain (for example, redirecting from "example.com" to "www.example.com").

Fallback subdomain

You can use a CNAME to associate a custom domain with your blog.

HTTPS availability

HTTPS availability means HTTPS will be available on your website, then here you will be shown as available in the status and if your HTTPS is not available then it will be shown as unavailable. Enable is visible then you can take SSL certificate through your domain provider or cloud flare.

You have to keep the setting of HTTPS redirect on so that your website looks secure, but for this you need to have HTTPS available in HTTPS availability.

Blog admins and authors

Here you will get information about all the Admins and Authors who are on your site, you can also manage them from here.

Pending author invites

If you want to make someone else an admin on your site and you have invited, then you will see pending invite author here until he accepts the request.

Invite more authors

To add Author, you will get this option, you have to click on it. And whoever you want to make an author for your blog website, enter his/her email address there and click on Send.

Reader access

Here you can set your blog to public or private. Select Public if you want to show the blog to all viewers. This should be kept public only.

Custom readers

Shows a list of blog readers.

Pending custom reader invites

Here you will see the list of invitations sent to selected people to read the blog, which have not yet been accepted. 

Invite more readers

If you want to invite more people to read the blog, enter the email address of the person you want to read the blog.

Max posts shown on main page

Now you will see the post section. Here you will see Max post shown on main page, meaning how many posts you want to show in the Recent Section on the home page of your blog. Select as many as you want to display.

Post template (optional)

These sections are optional, if you keep the format of your post same, then you do not need to put that format again and again in the post. Put it here when you create a new post, you will get this format in the post, which will waste less of your time. I would tell you to skip it.

If you want to overlay all the images in your blog website, then keep this option enabled. And if you do not want this then disable this option.

Comment

Comment location

Next you will get Comment Location. Through this option you can set the location of your comment section. After clicking on it, you will see four options –
  • Embedded: Allows users to reply on the post.
  • Full page and Popup window: Takes users to a new page to make their comment.
  • Important: When you choose "Hide," it doesn't delete the existing comments. You can show them at any time by selecting another option.

Who can comment?

You can manage who can comment on your blog posts in Blogger. In "Who Can Comment," select:
  • Anyone (including anonymous)
  • Users with Google Accounts
  • Only members of this blog
If you select Anyone, anyone can comment on your blog post. By selecting this option there are chances of your website getting spammed.

If you select Only Members Of This Blog, then only those who subscribe to your blog will be able to comment on your blogpost.

And if you click on Users With Google Account, then anyone who has a Google Account will be able to comment on your blog post.

Comment moderation

Next comes your Comment Moderation. Here also you will get three options, you have to leave it always on Always. So that whenever someone comments, first of all it comes to you, you see it and then you approve it.

For posts older than

If you selected "Sometimes" in the comment moderation section, only comments within that range of time will go into the moderation section.

You’ll receive an email alert when you get a new comment on your blog.

Reader comment captcha

If someone wants to leave a comment on your blog, they’ll need to complete a word verification step. Learn how to prevent unwanted comments. Blog authors won't see word verification for comments.

Important: Even if this setting is turned off, some commenters may be asked to enter a code before posting.

Comment form message

Here you can show a message to your visitors. Whoever comes to comment on your blog post will see this message. 
Ex : Do not put any spam link here.

Custom 404

Set the blog's custom redirects. Add custom redirects for URLs that point to pages of your blog.

  • From : Add the deleted URL. If the original article was deleted, select Permanent.
  • To : Add the URL you want to point to.

Instead of https://a2zblogging.org you have to enter the URL of your site. And the max result is 500, instead of that you have to replace it with the number of posts you want to keep.

In the same way, if you want to make a Back Up of your blog website, then you can save that Back Up in your file by clicking on Back Up Content.

Remove your blog

When you delete a blog you have a short period of time to restore it. When you permanently delete a blog all of your blog information, posts, and pages will be deleted and you won’t be able to restore them.

Important: Deleted blogs can be restored within 90 days before they're removed forever. You can create another blog at this address using the Google Account that you're currently logged in with. Before you delete your blog, you can export it.
